Kobo now keeps StoryGraph current through a direct partner connection. Direct OBN sync requires a Kobo partnership and is not available yet. These per-book annotation files are recovery—not a Kobo connection.

On Kobo.com, open My Books and export a book’s annotations (Markdown, HTML, text, or PDF).
Select up to 20 of those files and share them to Bring books to OBN.
If a title could be two of your books, Nook asks once: Same book?
That’s it — no second picker, no confirmation screen.

Good to know

Kobo’s live StoryGraph connection currently syncs reading progress and finish activity, but not highlights, notes, or back-syncing.
Kobo’s exports don’t carry an edition id, so a plausible match asks once and is then remembered.
Some publishers restrict export, and because you choose which files to share, every import is marked partial — Nook can’t know what you left out.
